I worked with the direct mail marketing team at Planned Parenthood to conceptualize and design this campaign that informs donors of the challenges the organization has faced in providing health care and abortion access to everyone, everywhere, no matter what and to thank sustaining supporters. 

CHARLIE'S STORY

With the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022, Planned Parenthood faced a new challenge. The organization wanted to urge supporters to donate so I created a campaign that personalized the fight for health care and abortion access by sharing the obstacles a Texas woman named Charlie faced while seeking health care. We called this piece "Charlie's Story."

THE ABORTION RIGHTS LIE DETECTOR

Heading toward the 2024 primary elections, we noticed Republicans were trying to redefine abortion itself. We wanted to show donors that we have proof that strategists on the right are pushing a new lexicon on abortion that is inaccurate and incredibly harmful to people seeking access to health care. We received such an overwhelming positive response in donor acquisition with this tri-fold brochure that we decided to use it in our appeal segment of donors. At my suggestion, this piece is done in a matte finish with the black rule going around the back and inside the brochure as a satin finish.

Planned Parenthood wanted to create a direct mail campaign that told the story of President Alexis McGill Johnson's story of the moment she felt an overwhelming personal responsibility to ensure that quality, affordable reproductive health care is available to all.
